I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again. mark. by Avon is really hitting it out of the park.

I used to order from Avon in highschool because…well..that’s where my Mom got her makeup! I didn’t really start experimenting with makeup until well into my 20’s, and by then I had totally lost interest in Avon. Enter mark. – a brand that is catering to what trendy young women want in skincare and cosmetics.

“mark. is an expertly edited beauty and fashion boutique that is constantly launching fresh, on-trend products inspired by the hottest runway looks of the season. Our larger goal: we seek to inspire young women to embrace opportunity, create community and celebrate individuality all through beauty and fashion.” – mark.

mark. also attracts celebrity ambassadors like Ashley Greene and Pretty Little Liars star Lucy Hale! This is a such a great way to bring Avon into the modern girls makeup bag.

I recently tried out two of their body scrubs, Dreaming of Jasmine and Crushing on Coconut!

Dreaming of Jasmine

(Canada $14) (US $12)

Both of these scrubs contain sugar cane extract to cleanse the skin, and walnut shell powder to gently but effectively exfoliate. I found the Jasmine scrub more runny that the coconut, not that it really matters. Once you put this on a luffa or washcloth it actually foams up a bit which is unusual for most body scrubs. The scent is fairly strong with hints of jasmine, peach and vanilla.

Crushing on Coconut

(Canada $14) (US $12)

This scrub looks exactly the same as the Jasmine one lol. Thankfully the bottles are completely different, but it looks like it’s the same formula just a different scent. This one really does smell like coconut, which I love. I already knew I would like the smell of this as soon as I saw the name : )

Pros:

  • Gentle exfoliation, not too harsh
  • If the coconut or jasmine scent isn’t your jam they also have lemon and Plumberry scrubs
  • $14 is a good price point for the amount you get

Cons:

  • I found it a bit drying on my skin (but I have sensitive dry skin to begin with)
  • It’s not paraben or sulphate free
