I really like Annabelle Cosmetics so I was pretty disappointed when I moved to San Francisco a few months ago and realized that they don’t carry it here! Lucky for me Annabelle sent me some goodies so now I am all set! I used the products they sent me to create three very different makeup looks that I hope will give you some ideas for how to use these products yourself. Many of them are new and a few are coming soon!

Let’s jump in to it! First off here’s a quick review of the makeup I’ll be using today:

BIGSHOW Lip Shine ($9.99) in Glow and Rock are part of the Marie-Mai BIGSHOW collection complete with her signature on each tube! French-Canadian singer Marie-Mai has been a spokesperson for the brand since 2012. Now she shares the role with new a Brand Ambassador – actress Shenae Grimes-Beech!

I love the BIGSHOW glosses formula, it’s long-lasting but not too sticky. I’ve posted about the Shenae Grimes-Beech BIGSHOW gloss that was released earlier this year, and it’s still one of my favourite lip products!

The Lipliners ($5.95) perfectly compliment the glosses and help it last all day! I don’t normally wear lip liner because my lips are always very dry and I find it can make that worse. These were ok, they pulled a little while applying but not too badly. It significantly extended the wear time of the lipgloss. Plus it added an extra boost of colour so the glosses were much more pigmented than if I wore them on their own.

Instaglam Eyeliner + Mascara Touch Up in Abyss, Le Big Show Mascara, Instaglam Eyeliner + Mascara Touch Up in Psychedelic

*NEW Instaglam Eyeliner + Mascara Touch Up ($12.95) comes in three colours – black, blue and purple. I tried out the blue and purple! The eyeliner does a good job creating winged liner. The formula is a little thin but that’s probably a good thing if you are new to liquid liner. It doesn’t show imperfections as much as a super black liner would. I had to apply it a few times but eventually I got the dark colour that I wanted, and the marker style applicator gave me a ton of control.

The mascara has a mini-mascara wand which makes getting those pesky lashes in the inner corner of the eye a breeze. It’s also great for the bottom lashes too. The formula is really dry which I didn’t like, I prefer more wet mascaras. Think Bad Gal Mascara from Benefit. Though I must say, in the end I loved the result. A pop of colour that is noticeable but not to 80’s : )

*NEW Le Big Show Mascara ($9.95) has a traditional spoolie applicator and the formula is quite wet! It’s not amazing, but it didn’t flake off even after hours of wear. It did a much better job at lengthening and adding volume than the Instaglam did.

Top: Stay Sharp Waterproof Lipliner in Glam Red, Bottom: Stay Sharp Waterproof Kohl Liner in Black

*NEW Stay Sharp Waterproof Kohl Liner and Stay Sharp Waterproof Lipliner ($9.95 each) will be available starting August 18th. These are not just twist up liners, they are re-sharpened every time you screw on the cap! The sharpening mechanism is inside the cap so there’s literally no work involved.

Here are some details from Annabelle:

• Shelf-sharpening pencil
• No mess: lead shavings are kept inside the cap
• Fine tip for extra-precise application
• Extremely soft lead for a smooth, gliding application
• Waterproof formula
• Intense pigmentation for best colour pay off and coverage

I love the eyeliner, it really is totally waterproof. I’d go so far as to say this is a dupe for the Make Up Forever Aqua Eyes liner. No smudging all day long! Downside it is takes a lot of rubbing to get it off : /

As I said before I don’t normally wear lip liner (or red lipstick) but the formula is amazing and I would buy it in another colour for sure. It’s much softer and more velvety than the lip pencils I mentioned earlier. I believe this is the newer version of the those liners? Once this is on your lips it is not going to budge!
