Josie Maran Pure Argan Milk Intensive Hydrating Treatment

josie maran pure argan milk review

I’ve been hearing a lot of good things about the Sephora Josie Maran line, so I figured it was about time I tried it out! I picked up the Josie Maran Pure Argan Milk Intensive Hydrating Treatment from Sephora because it’s deep moisturizing and specifically formulated for dry and sensitive skin. But before we jump in can we just take a moment to remember that Ms Maran was once the love interest of vampire Howie D? Everybody….rock your body! #1997

“The Pure Argan Milk Intensive Hydrating Treatment is a 100 percent natural, emulsifier-free, hydrating treatment serum featuring powerful antiaging benefits and a blend of microdroplets of 100% Pure Argan Oil suspended in purified water, allowing the skin-saving benefits of Argan Oil to deeply nourish the skin.” - Josie Maran

Josie Maran uses fair trade argan oil as the main ingredient in most of her products, which is grown and harvested by co-ops of Moroccan women. The Pure Argan Milk contains purified water and 100% Pure Argan Oil which creates a milky texture that is velvety and leaves the skin feeling dewy and plump. I have been using this after cleaning and toning my skin morning and night, and I follow up with my daily moisturizer. You use the eye dropper to dispense 3-5 drops which I find is more than enough for my whole face. It’s a light, thin serum that doesn’t really feel like an oil at all.

I’ve been using it for a week now and I can already tell that my skin loves this stuff. I wake up in the morning and my skin feels hydrated and smoother, and it hasn’t irritated my rosacea at all. I do find that it takes about 5-10 minutes to fully absorb into the skin so it’s something to keep in mind when applying it in the morning before makeup.

The only downside is the size of the bottle. For $68 you only get 1.7 oz. I have had it for a month and I am 3/4 done the bottle. I use it morning and night as the directions suggest, but I suppose you could get more life out of each bottle by using it only at night. I think for the price they should offer more product in each bottle.

Have you tried any of the Josie Maran line? What is your favourite Argan oil product?

I have been really curious about this and may try to get a sample from Sephora. I had NO idea about the BSB connection. Love it!

Sounds lovely! I have a Josie Maran hand cream that I love, smells insanely good and keeps my hands hydrated.

I’ve never tried the actual argan oil from Josie Maran, but like carly, I have a hand cream from the brand. I’d be interested in looking more into this though!

Ooh, this sounds absolutely lovely! I haven’t tried any Josie Maran products, but am constantly tempted :)

Ooo this sounds lovely! I’ve always wanted to try Josie Maran products as well, but they are so pricey. Are there additional things in her products as opposed to buying argan oil at like Whole foods?

They are pricy, which is why I’ve waited so long to try it out. On the Sephora site it does say their are a few other ingredients but not many. I think this one specifically is different because it is a water/argan mix that creates a milk texture. The 100% argan oil she has is probably more similar to something you could buy from the store.

I really like the Josie Maran argan oil and I’ve been wanting to try this ever since I saw it at Sephora a few months ago. The price tag is what discourages me but maybe I’ll give it a shot next time a sale rolls around.

I didn’t know she was in that video! BACKSTREET’S BACK, ALRIGHT!

Sounds like a great product! I also wish it was a bit lower in price though.

Haha I love a good BSB reference! It’s pricey, there’s no two ways about it. But I’ve found my skin really likes it so at least it was worth the money!
