Canadian brand Nudestix is at it again! The recently released a line of Lip + Cheek Dual Pencils exclusively at Sephora. They took the most popular shades of their existing Lip + Cheek collection and made this two-in-one products even more multi-functional. They come in two combinations: Mystic/Whisper and Soul/Flesh. Nudestix was kind enough to send me the latter to try out!
The new and improved Lip + Cheek Pencil Dual is available exclusively at Sephora for $24 US/$28 CAD. As someone who has a love affair with all things pink I have a hard time with brands like this that focus solely on nude and natural makeup (mostly different shades of brown). And while I don’t think all of their shades are super flattering on me I do love the creamy formula of these pencils. They glide on super smooth and the colour blends on my cheeks easily using only my fingertips.

These pencils contain shea butter and vitamin E to moisturize the skin. Their creamy consistency makes them beautiful dewy blushes that give your skin a healthy glow but still look natural.
This is Soul on my cheeks and lips. I love how it’s sort of coral-y as a blush, but on the lips it comes across more nude. It’s a pretty neutral for when I want a more toned down lip and it also has great pigmentation!
Here I have Flesh on my cheeks and lips. So….I think we can all agree this nude shade is doing nothing for my complexion. As a blush it’s barely noticeable and on my lips it makes me looks hella washed out. However, on a darker skin tone this would be a really pretty Kim K nude lip. Still a killer formula it’s just not the right colour for me.
I do like that they are offering these duos because it gives you the opportunity to try two different shades for the price of one. I absolutely love this brand and have a ton of their eye pencils and lip glosses. These two colours weren’t the best match for me personally but I still think they are an A+ product especially if you love natural easy to use cosmetics.

Is it crazy that I don’t think the nude is bad on you? I think if you made your eyeshadow very bold you could work that. I haven’t tried anything from nudestix because I’m very fair skinned like you AND I saw reviews saying there is zero staying power. Can you speak to the longevity?

I think the staying power of the lip + cheek pencils is average. On my cheeks it stayed with no problems, but I am a lip chewer so no lip products last long on me. As for their eye pencils I really love them. The magnetic eye pencils stay put all day!

I dunno, I think Flesh looks great! Maybe it’s more just that you’re not used to it?
I still haven’t bought any Nudestix and I really need to rectify that.

There are so many shades that I haven’t tried. I know there is a Lip + Cheek Pencil thats more of a rosey-pink shade and I neeed to try it

Yeah it’s always neat finding Canadian brands that are also amazing quality. It’s essentially run by the daughters of the founder and they are both teenagers! They know what young girls want in makeup – simple, easy and natural!

Wow I LOVE this!
Both ends are so pretty. I’d like to swatch the nude side with my skin tone though. I’m always very wary of going into uncharted nude coloured territory for fear of looking dead-ish.
