Lush Haul!

Ok maybe ‘haul’ is a bit of an exaggeration. I only picked up two new items, but this brings my Lush product total to eight! I can’t get enough of their cleansers, moisturizers, soaps and scrubs!

I felt like doing a face mask yesterday for no particular reason, and realized I didn’t have any at home. I have been slowly transitional most of my skin care products to Lush, so I figured I’d pop in to the Queen Street location and see what they had in stock. I’ve never used a Lush face mask so I wasn’t sure what to expect. Granted their products WORK but they often require a bit more time and effort.

I picked up a face mask and a pot of body moisturizer that I was way overdue for. I am still using a bottle of lotion I got for free, and though I hate the smell I just keep using it because….mostly I’m lazy and I just couldn’t be bothered to get a new one. But when one finds ones self in Lush, one can not help ones self…or something.

Moar things!! Here’s what I got and what I thought.

Oatifix

Oatifix is recommended for sensitive, dry or irritated faces like mine. It has oatmeal (obvi) as well as bananas and almonds! It smells like banana bread no joke! It worked well, all I had to do was smear it on and wait for 10 minutes looking like someone threw up on my face.

Overall I really liked it. It smelled so yummy, and my skin felt moisturized and calmed afterward. It slightly reduced the redness in my skin and it gave me a dewy glow. This is a keeper!

Sympathy for the Skin

Sympathy for the Skin is a hand and body lotion with organic mashed bananas, vanilla, sandalwood and lemon oil.

I have very dry hands that crack easily in the winter. This was one of the first lotions I’ve used that didn’t sting when I rubbed it on any cuts or scratches. This morning I used it all over my body after I got out of the shower, and it absorbed quickly and left my skin feeling great! I made a travel size version by scooping a bit into one of Lush’s tiny sample containers.

LOVE Lush! I’ve been using their products for about 2 years now… my cousin game me some Ocean Salt to try and the rest is history! Changing my skin routine was scary and risky but it definitely paid off. I have combination skin: acne prone, sensitive, dry patches and oily.
    My FAVE products are:
    -Coal Face
    -Fresh Face Farmacy
    -Mask of Magnaminty
    -Ocean Salt
    -Herbalism

Every single time I go in the store I end up leaving with something new to try! Also tip for readers: they have samples! Sample it first if you don’t want to commit

Of all the ones you listed, I have only tried Sea Salt! I may have to try Mask of Magnaminty, it looks amazing.

I have mask of Magnaminty so you can try it before you buy. Were you aware that they have a full money back guarantee for anything that you don’t like?

I miss Lush so bad! They need to open one in the Niagara Region asap. I used to use this green face scrub, I can’t even remember what it’s called, but I loved it. I think it had sea weed in it?? Their lip butter things are also amazing, and their massage bars (sexy-times) and their bath bombs, etc.

My mom got me a whole box of Lush bath bombs for Christmas. I was tres excited.

Also, you are right, the mask you used does look like throw up. BUT if it works, then throw up on my face always. Wait…

    ALSO ALSO, miss you chum!

I use the Aqua Marina, it’s a cleanser that has calamine lotion and seaweed. Maybe that’s the one? They sell/ship online too :)

I miss you also! Come to Toronto and visit me and P!
