Last year the INGLOT opened in Dundas Square here in Toronto. This was after I moved to San Francisco so I until last week I hadn’t had a chance to see it. I was excited to hear that INGLOT just released a new collection called the INGLOT Mamma Mia Collection and were having a launch party with cast members from the broadway cast! Inspired by the hit musical this 35 piece collection contains blue, white, pink, and purple shades that had us beauty bloggers drooling. I spy a blue lipstick in there, and while I wouldn’t wear it myself I like knowing it exists! I’m sure there’s a Halloween costume I could use that for right? RIGHT?
In my opinion the standout products in this lineup are the 4 Shade Freedom System Eye Shadow Palette (seen above) which is $38.00 CAD and the Pure Pigment Eye Shadow which runs for $16 CAD. The pigmentation of the loose eye powder was gorgeous and the purple/pink colours in the eyeshadow palette are sooooo my jam. The products are similar prices to Kryolan Cosmetics which is another brand that specializes in bright and vibrant makeup.
Emily Price who plays the character Alli in Mamma Mia was at the event and her gorgeous green and purple eye makeup look was inspired by the colours of her costume in the show. She was so friendly and kindly let me snap a few photos of her getting her makeup done and also the finished look! The makeup artist used the Freedom System Eye Shadow Palette from the Mamma Mia collection to create this look.
Gorgeous am I right?
Olivia Ashley Reed plays Lisa in the show and her makeup had smokey copper and red shades that totally made her eyes pop.
The makeup artist used the 10 shade Freedom System Eye Shadow Palette to create this look. Thanks again to both these ladies for letting me get all up in there space and take these photos : )
I ran into a few of my blogger pals there and of course I had to find someone to take a photo of us all because FRIENDSHIP.
Zubie, Shawna and I hung around a bit longer after the others left to check out the INGLOT permanent makeup collections and chat about our favourite Broadway shows (Book of Mormon? Joseph and the Amazing Technicolored Dreamcoat? Mamma Mia?).
It was a really fun event and we even got a swag bag with the soundtrack to Mamma Mia and a beautiful gel liner from the INGLOT permanent collection.
What is your favourite musical or broadway show? Let me know in the comments!
